30 Go-To Walking to Class Anthems for College Students
Indiana University spans 1,954 acres of land, much of which is routinely filled with students suited up in headphones or AirPods, escaping into the music in their ears. I love walking from my apartment to campus, spending 30 minutes hyping myself up for the day with a variety of playlists and songs.
With that in mind, I asked 30 of my friends and peers what their favorite songs to listen to on the walk to class are right now.
- Everytime by Ariana Grande
- A Cold Play by the Kid Laroi
- Last Train to London by Electric Light Orchestra
- Lights Come On by Jason Aldean
- Restless Mind by Sam Barber
- Nights on Broadway by the Bee Gees
- My Eyes by Travis Scott
- On the Floor by Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull
- Put On by Jeezy and Kanye West
- Hymn for the Weekend by Coldplay
- Back Where I am From by Kenny Chesney
- It's Called: Freefall by Rainbow Kitten Surprise
- Fashion Killa by ASAP Rocky
- What's Good by Tyler, The Creator
- No Broke Boys X Hollaback Girl (SoundCloud)
- Free Mr. Banks by Lucki
- Every Morning by Sugar Ray
- Hunger Strike by Temple Of The Dog
- Borderline by Tame Impala
- 12 to 12 by Sombr
- Devil in Disguise by Marino
- Leather and Lace by Stevie Knicks
- Broken Clocks by SZA
- My Man on Willpower by Sabrina Carpenter
- Ribs by Lorde
- I Care by Beyonce
- Die for You by The Weeknd
- Sanguine Paradise by Lil Uzi Vert
- Tongue Tied by Grouplove
- Let the Light In by Lana Del Rey
Overall, it shows that most people chose their go-to song to be upbeat or simply one that makes them feel their best. A lot of the songs I had never heard of before, which shows that students find love for their favorite music when it's not played everywhere, all the time.

Take this as an opportunity to ask your friends what their favorite walking-to-class song is, and maybe you can fuel a new music rotation for your next stroll across campus.
